Criminal Investigations (CID)
The Criminal Investigation Division is comprised of three certified law enforcement officers who are dedicated to aiding the citizens of Walthall County. These investigators work closely with other local law enforcement agencies, including the Mississippi Department of Child Protective Services, the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation.
Each year, Sheriff's detectives conduct hundreds of investigations throughout the county involving all varieties of criminal activity ranging from property crimes to violent crimes.
The Criminal Investigation Division is led by Chief Investigator Justin Dyar.
