What is a Sex Offender?
A sex offender is anyone (with very few exceptions) who has been convicted of a sex offense. They have to register as a sex offender for the remainder of their life.
What are sex offenders required to do?
Sex Offenders are required to register with the Walthall County Sheriff's Office (or the Sheriff's Office of the jurisdiction they live in) once released from incarceration or as directed by the court. They are required to provide in-depth information, including fingerprints and DNA to the registrar. The registrar then forwards that information to the State Sex Offender Registry, and the information is published on their website.
